New Build, A Rated

2021 for Sycamore involved undertaking construction of another A rated new build house in Bray. This time we completed a 3 bed detached home in keeping with the existing homes in the estate. In order to achieve an A rating the focus needs to be on insulation, air tightness, high u-value glazing and renewable heating sources. We’ve installed under floor heating throughout with an air to water heating system. The insulation is high spec and airtightness works have been undertaken. PVC windows and doors by Munster with a composite door to the porch.

Complete Home Renovation

This 70’s bungalow has been brought bang up-to-date with a total renovation and energy upgrade. Our clients focused on insulation throughout, new heating system, electrical upgrade, remodelled bathrooms featuring bespoke cabinetry, storage solutions and all the important finishes…And of course a beautiful new kitchen. Our signature pocket doors allow separation as required between the cosy living room and open kitchen/diner. A home much improved thanks to expert guidance, quality carpentry and fine finishing.

Attic Conversion and Extra Space

Extra space made special, upstairs and down in this project for an attic conversion and a garden room extension.
Bringing the outside in, we created a room for all seasons, a new living space for relaxing and making the most of the sunny aspect. The feature of this year round room is a high, long window bringing in plenty of light.
Making double use of extra space we converted the attic for a spare bedroom come hideaway. Incorporating spray foam insulation in the roof rafters for sound proofing and energy saving, this space is now warm and very quiet. The beautiful and imaginative glass balustrade connects the original and new upstairs rooms while adding yet more light and a sense of space and openness.

Kitchen Revival

An extension wasn’t necessary here but the kitchen itself was due an overhaul. Updating the appliances and tweaking the layout slightly to improve usability made all the difference. Behind the renovation scenes we dry-lined the room to improve insulation and installed Velux roof glazing to improve natural light. Beautiful granite worktops are by Miller Brothers Stone.
The result is a slick and efficient remodel, with an abundance of storage, the addition of a breakfast bar and lighting to set it all off.
As always, our clients were delighted with the very high standard of workmanship.
